I’m excited about this…a seminar for pastors with a specific emphasis upon clinging hard to grace within pastoral ministry. Dr. Don Whitney will conduct this session at the conclusion of Omaha Bible Church’s annual conference (more details below). Feel free to pass this on to pastors throughout the Midwest; Omaha is pretty centrally located and we’d love to share the edification…so if you are a pastor or church leader, drop a line to the email address below and we’ll get you registered…
….
Here are the specifics..
It is far too often that we hear of church leaders disqualifying themselves and dishonoring the testimony of Jesus Christ through their sin. Gospel ministry is far too precious and the Savior’s glory is far too valuable for pastors to carelessly conduct themselves. Therefore we are truly excited that
Dr. Don Whitney is going to conduct a workshop for pastors with the overt aim of preventing ministry disaster.
Date :: October 20.2007
Locale ::: Omaha Bible Church (map & directions)
Cost : Free (kind of like grace)
RSVP :: gospel@OmahaBibleChurch.org
This complimentary seminar for pastors will be offered at the conclusion of our annual church conference which will also feature Don Whitney (more information here).

Note from the grammar police:
I think that to be most correct, there should be a hyphen in “disaster-proofing” since the two words together make the verb.
Nonetheless the theme of the workshop looks great, and I hope that pastors in your community and region are built up by it!
Can I attend this too?
Paul- that makes sense…thanks. Too late to change the promotion pieces though.
Tyler- gotcha.
Question one, is there a female counterpart for this (As I get closer to marrying a pastor, I realize how important it is for the women married to those in ministry to support them and conduct themselves in such a way not to disqualify their own ministries or that of their husbands…)
Question two, will the messages be online?
Mary Beth,
@1 :: unfortunately there will not be a female counterpart. Although that would be a great idea…maybe in future years!
@2 :: yes. the plan is to have everything from the weekend on our website within a few days after the conference.
thanks!
