Next week I along with the other pastors at Omaha Bible Church are headed to Deerfield, IL to attend The Gospel Coalition Conference. The conference will be held on the campus of Trinity Evangelical Divinity School.
There is an interesting story as to how this developed. Apparently, several years ago, Don Carson and Tim Keller began rallying like-minded pastors who center their ministries on “the center”—Jesus Christ and him crucified. Fifty pastors–including John Piper, Mark Dever, Phil Ryken, Mark Driscoll, C. J. Mahaney, Ligon Duncan–comprised the initial meeting in Deerfield, Illinois.
So we are excited to cruise on up to lock arms for this supreme cause. My understanding is that as of yesterday there were still some openings, so jump on out to their website and register if you are interested. Audio will be available online following the conference. Mark Driscoll also posted earlier this week that The Resurgence will be on site conducting interviews with the speakers and this will also be made available in pod/vod cast.
