Brotherhood of Fidelity

One of the blessings of the Shepherds’ Conference to my own soul is the emphatic endorsement of biblical faithfulness. If you are like me you often times get discouraged by the number of professing Christian churches who are not standing firm for the truth. The Shepherds’ Conference week provides pastors from all over the world with great encouragement and one of the chief sources of this encouragement is brotherhood of biblical fidelity.

Last night I was privileged to stand next to a man I had never met before and I was able to sing great hymns of the faith together; we both nodded and affirmed words spoken by C.J. Maheney, both sharing convictions and encouragements. It occurred to me there in that hour that though our pasts had never intersected before our hearts were indeed knit together in the bonds of love that flows from Calvary. This scene was duplicated all over the auditorium. Men from all over the world travel here to LA for the conference to be encouraged and equipped to faithful fulfill their ministry. Though many of us know not each other we do know our Savior! This is rich fellowship indeed.
