He Makes the Demons Scream

Who is this One that makes the demons scream?

His mere presence strikes dread in Satan’s team

The word of God, the kingdom, we have seen

Power in the flesh; he sets the captives free

Immanuel is here, and he brings the Jubilee

So draw closer now & with all the conquered say:

“‘Truly this is the Son of God, who died my soul to save.”

   Nice.

   I know Satan and the wicked spirits don’t dread me. They subtly devise ways to make me stumble, and hinder me. Yet, when Christ my Almighty Friend stands behind me, then they dread. And so I cry out to my Lord, who is the Captain of the hosts of holy angels, to send them as ministering spirits to protect and strengthen me as I fight the good fight on faith on the spiritual front and battleground for the kingdom of heaven, which the gates of hell shall never prevail.
