Book Review- The Gospel in Genesis

In the last couple of years Biblical Theology has really become something of a favorite topic for me.  I am thinking specifically with regard to the foreshadowing of Jesus in the Old Testament Scriptures.  I love to see the story of redemption unfold with powerful drama.  And some of the most powerful scenes are found in the earliest pages of our Bible.

Crossway has served the church by making available some of the late Dr Martyn Lloyd-Jones’ previously unavailable sermons on Genesis.  Specifically ‘the doctor’ walks through Genesis 3-12, starting with the fall of man and ending with the call of Abrahm.  And through these sermons he aims to make clear the gospel of Christ, as the subtitle indicates, The Gospel in Genesis, from Fig Leaves to Faith.

This would serve to be a good resource for study on these passages, but also it serves as a refreshing everyday reminder and reset of the gospel of grace as trumpeted in the pages of Scripture.
